What is Tarot?
Simply put, the Tarot is a deck of cards with pictures that act as symbols to tell a story.
They are a tool to bypass the clutter of one's mind, so as to access what one subconsciously or intuitively already knows.
Some would say that they are a means of reaching the universal knowledge that exists for all to see.
There is no "magick" about them.
They are simply a deck of cards...

What happens during a reading?
There are as many ways to do a reading as there are Tarot card readers, but generally, this is how I do a reading - . We engage in a short conversation to get an idea of the issue you want clarification on. Then, shuffling the deck, I ask you to write down your question. It should not be a "yes" or "no" question, since the cards will provide an answer that is often in the form of a journey. So instead of "Does she love me?" you would ask , "What can I expect from this relationship?" Then I ask you to hold your hand over the cards while mildly keeping the question in your mind. Then I cut and spread the cards in whatever way is best for the type of question and we see what the story is.
I am not a fortune teller. This is not what I do. My purpose is to use the cards as a tool to help you clarify an issue and leave you feeling more positive and with some concrete idea of what you can do to handle your situation. It is up to YOU to decide to change your life. Think of me as more of a coach or cheerleader, who instead of
pom poms, uses the Tarot to give you encouragement. The cards are a marvelous way to get insight and can serve as a guide and symbolic reminder as you walk your path in life.
As with any consultation, this is not a lecture, but a back and forth with you, asking questions and getting feedback on the cards, too. The readings can be light and fun, humor filled, or quite serious, depending. Some want to know, am I psychic? Well, the short answer to that is- yes. However, my mind doesn't work like those people you see on T.V. Actually, probably theirs don't either! I prefer to say that I am intuitive, since I use not only the mental flashes of information that may come (and sometimes they don't), but also the sensitive art of deduction. I am the kind of person that likes something concrete to work with. This is why I use the cards, and actually why I love astrology and the classical forms of feng-shui, as well, since they are both grounded in the science of mathematics. So we have our conversation about the cards, and you leave with some new, helpful insight. Its that simple. And fun!
